Partners & OEM

Build your business on precise location

Noccela supplies the ultra-wideband (UWB) positioning layer: base stations (UWB anchors), tags, the radio protocol, the positioning engine and APIs. Partners bring the domain knowledge, the applications and the customer relationship.

Three ways to work with us

Resell and deliver

Offer Noccela systems to your customers under your own service, with our hardware, platform and engineering support behind you.

Integrate your software

Feed precise positions and events into your own platform, digital twin or analytics through the real-time API, HTTP API and webhooks.

Build it into your product

Use Noccela radio, hardware and positioning inside your own machine, device or vertical solution, with custom tags where needed.

Technology partner: Qorvo

Noccela's hardware is built on ultra-wideband radio chips from Qorvo, and Noccela is listed as a Qorvo UWB solution partner. Noccela was a guest on the Qorvo stand at Embedded World 2022 in Nuremberg and demonstrated its system on the Qorvo booth at CES in Las Vegas in 2023 and 2024.

Qorvo has published articles on Noccela's work in industry and sports, including player tracking in football and youth sports. Read about CES 2024.

OEM and custom hardware

The UWB partner behind your product

Machine builders, device makers and vertical software companies can build Noccela positioning into their own products. One team owns the radio protocol, the hardware, the firmware and the cloud, so we can change whichever layer your product needs.

Custom tags

Form factors, mounting, colours and interfaces for your vehicle, tool, machine or wearable, built on Noccela radio designs.

Firmware

Firmware written by the same team that designs the radio protocol, with over-the-air updates through the two-way link to every tag.

Integrations

Positions, events and alerts delivered to your control system, cloud or user interface through documented APIs.

Certification support

Help with radio certification documentation and test planning for the markets where your product will be sold.

Positioning engine licensing

Run the Noccela positioning engine on your own servers or inside your own product, instead of as a cloud service.

An example: SPÅT built its football analytics service on Noccela positioning, after Noccela adapted its algorithms so that 16 base stations around the pitch replace overhead installation. Read the SPÅT case study.

How an OEM project runs

  1. Talk to an engineer

Tell us what your product must sense, where and how precisely. We say early if UWB is the right tool.

  2. Prove it with standard hardware

Test the idea with Noccela base stations and tags before anything is customised.

  3. Develop together

We adapt the layers that need to change: tag, firmware, positioning or integration.

  4. Certify and support

Certification support for your markets, then engineering support for the life of the product.

Questions from partners

Do you work with partners outside Finland?
Yes. Partners have included Indutrax in Germany and NESA in the United States, and Navigine works with industrial customers worldwide. Tell us where your customers are and we will check certification and logistics for that market.
Can we show the platform under our own brand?
The Location Intelligence Platform supports brand customisation, and the APIs let you build your own user interface on top of Noccela positioning.
Can the system run without the Noccela cloud?
Yes. The on-premise server runs the whole system inside your or your customer's own network.
How do we start?
Contact us with a short description of your business and customers. The usual first step is a call with an engineer and a demo kit or a pilot.
