Noccela Location Intelligence Platform

From dots on a map to decisions. The platform is the user interface of the Noccela system: plan the installation, see where people and assets are, measure what happens on the floor, and let location trigger the next action.

The idea

From location data to decisions

A position on its own answers only one question. The platform takes positions through four steps, from raw data to a decision someone can act on.

  1. Step 1

    Data

Where is each tag right now?

Coordinates from every tag, with floor, zone, battery level and motion, as often as 50 times a second.

    • Positioning engine
    • APIs
  2. Step 2

    Information

Where has it been, and for how long?

Positions on your floor plan, live and as history: where people and assets are, where they went and how long they stayed.

    • Map view
  3. Step 3

    Knowledge

What is normal, and what is not?

Patterns turned into numbers: time in zones, utilisation, flows, area metrics and deviations from the usual.

    • Dashboard
  4. Step 4

    Decisions

    What should happen next?

Location triggers the next step: a warning light, an alert, a work order or a message to another system.

Six parts, one platform

Each module covers one job. Together they take a site from the first floor plan to automated workflows.

Dashboard

A customisable overview built from widgets, so each team sees the numbers that matter to it.

  • System-wide KPIs
  • Behavioural analytics
  • Metrics per area

Map view

People, vehicles and assets on your own floor plan, in real time and back in time.

  • Live positions
  • History and movement patterns
  • Heatmaps
  • Spaghetti diagrams

Designer

Plan the network of base stations (UWB anchors) on your floor plan before anyone climbs a ladder.

  • Network design on the floor plan
  • Suggested base station positions
  • Calibration after installation

Workflow Manager

Rules that turn location events into actions, for operations and for safety.

  • Location-based triggers
  • Alerts to people and on badges
  • Signalling Flash control
  • Webhooks to your systems

Admin

Control who sees and changes what, and make the platform look like your own.

  • Users and roles
  • Access control
  • Brand customisation

APIs

Everything the platform knows is available to your own software.

  • Real-time stream
  • HTTP API
  • Webhooks (Push API)
  • JavaScript and TypeScript SDK

How a location rule works

The Workflow Manager connects three things: who or what, where, and what should happen. One rule can drive a light on the floor and a message to another system at the same time.

Who or what: one tag or a set of tags, such as the tags on all forklifts or all visitor badges.

Where: a zone you draw on the map, such as a crossing, a test area, a loading dock or a muster point.

What happens: an alert, a light and tone on a Signalling Flash, a warning on an ID Badge, or an event sent to your own system through a webhook.

Warnings complement physical separation, training and the machine's own safety functions. Workplace safety.

Rule: crossing warning Example
When
Tags: Forklifts enters Zone: Crossing A
Then
  • Signalling Flash: Crossing Alight and tone on
  • Webhooksend the event to your system

Frequently asked questions

What is the Location Intelligence Platform?
It is the user interface of the Noccela real-time location system. It is used to plan the installation, view live and historical positions, measure KPIs, and turn location events into alerts and automated workflows.
Is the platform a cloud service?
It runs in Noccela’s cloud or, if you prefer, on an on-premise server inside your network. Compare cloud and on-premise.
Do we need programmers to use it?
Not for everyday use: maps, dashboards and Workflow Manager rules are set up in the user interface. To feed location data into your own systems, your developers or an integration partner use the APIs.
Can we offer the platform under our own brand?
Yes. Brand customisation in the Admin panel lets partners present the platform under their own brand. Partners and OEM.
Can we get the raw position data?
Yes. The real-time stream delivers positions as they are computed, the HTTP API gives access to site data, and webhooks push events such as a tag entering a zone.
