Base station (UWB anchor)

Mobile Anchor with Flash

A base station, signalling flash, battery and LTE router in one rugged case.

Noccela Mobile Anchor briefcase kit with a red signalling flash

Mobile Anchor with Flash is a portable kit for temporary work zones. Open the case, switch it on, and it creates a geofence around itself: when an ID Badge enters the zone, the flash and tone warn the people nearby. It runs up to 20 hours on its battery and connects over 4G.

Frequently asked questions

How many base stations does a site need?
Each base station covers up to 500 m². Walls, racking, machinery and ceiling height reduce that, so Noccela plans the layout from your floor plan. For a first figure, try the base station estimator.
Do base stations have to be surveyed after installation?
No. You measure the position of two base stations; the others locate themselves by measuring their distances to each other over UWB. How automatic calibration works.
What do base stations need from our network?
Beacon 3 needs one Ethernet cable with Power over Ethernet (PoE). The system does not need a public IP address, a static IP address or access to your private network. Where there is no cabling, use the Mobile Anchor with Flash or the Extension Box.
Can positions be computed on our own server?
Yes. The positioning engine and the Location Intelligence Platform can run on an on-premise server in your network instead of Noccela's cloud.
